Espandere un volume NSS in Microfocus OES

Espandere un volume NSS  (virtuale su VMware) è relativamente semplice.

Ci sono due possibilità:

  1. Creare un nuovo volume e aggiungerlo al Pool del volume da espandere. Semplice ed immediato, ma resta il problema che la perdita di un volume che compone il Pool corrompe l’intero Pool.
  2. Aumentare il volume VMware alla dimensione voluta, forzare il rescan della lun (escan-scsi-bus.sh –forcerescan –luns=XX) o se è possibile riavviare il server OES. Con il partiton manager è possibile visualizzare il nuovo spazio.
    Usare Yast o NSSMU (interfaccia a caratteri) verificare la disponibilità di spazio nel dispositivo, Dal menu POOL espandere il volume (F3), confermare la scelta. Verificare la disponibilità del nuovo spazio.
